Damned is the heart

You don’t love me, You love the idea of loving me,  You love the idea of having me in your life You love the idea of “this is who is right for me” Damned is the heart I mean…  I’m amazing! Im a lucky find, You find comfort in me You have peace of mind and all that good stuff you would want from your woman  I’m everything you want  Damned is the heart Because….  I’m not everything you need I don’t give you the butterflies  I don’t fill up your mind with ME I don’t make your heart skip a beat  I just don’t cut it…  Damned is the heart Well… You try to hold on  You try to do right by me You try to be committed to me You try to choose me over and over again  You try to be happy  You TRY AND FAIL because I’m just not the one  Damned is the heart  Random writes by Miss Carol

My 27 Lessons at 27

I turned 27! and I’m back home after 4 years so I got to celebrate with my family. This year I decided to write about the lessons I’ve learnt so far. It took me about 15 minutes to get these together, and I thought I should share. 😌 1. When you ask the universe for something, please do not accept mediocre. 2. Set boundaries, people treat you how you allow them to. 3. How you speak to/about yourself is very important and really matters. 4. Do not wait to be at your lowest to identify the solid pillars(people) in your life.  5. Quality over quantity  6. Be intentional with everything you do  7. Categorising Natural plants as illegal drugs is BS 🤷🏽‍♀️  8. Do not stress over things you can’t change/ control 9. Don’t be a sheep, the world is a social construct, live by your truth 10. Spirituality over religion. 11. Some people may not understand your opinion and that’s okay. There is beauty in diversity.  12. Never judge a book by the cover, be kind and respectful to everyone.  13. The t

50 SHADES OF LIFE

50 SHADES OF LIFE   It’s okay to express your mind whenever you feel like it. Others behaviour do not determine who you are. You can ask for your rights and still be a good person. If you choose to say no, that doesn’t make you a bad person. You can be in love with someone but still be better off without them. Maybe you want to help your loved ones but it’s not necessary to do so all the time. It’s okay to wish for something somebody else has or can offer.  Just because you have not achieved/reached your goals doesn’t mean that your actions weren’t efficient.  Others opinions are not more valid than yours. If you say no to somebody who needed help doesn’t mean you needed to say yes. It’s okay to ignore certain people  It’s okay to choose not speak to certain people. You are a good friend even if you don’t call them that often. You are a good child even though you don’t tell your parents how much you love them. It’s okay for others not to understand you.  Random writes by Miss Carol

Does the phrase “Opposites attract” apply in relationships?

I am sure most of us have heard of this concept. It is used a lot in our lingo to refer to different situations for example, relationships. It definitely applies in physics! how about in relationships?   Merriam-Webster  defines  the idiom "opposites attract" as a phrase "used to say that people who are very different from each other are often attracted to each other." I asked some of my friends if they had ever thought of this phrase before in the context of relationships, and NO was the most common answer.  I also asked what they thought of this phrase and if they agree or disagree with it when it comes to relationships.  Most of them disagree while a few agreed to some extent. Those who agree say it’s more fun when you are opposites of each other so there is always something interesting to pick from each other.  On the other hand those who disagree say that the likelihood of bumping heads is very high. You will never find common ground and will definitely not las

Show me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are Is dead to me

The world we live in right now is very socially constructed and the phrase “Show me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you” is very popular in every society. I have believed this phrase to be true for a very long time. This is until I interacted with different people from different societies, beliefs and of different religion.  The environment we grow in really shapes the kind of people we become. The way of life our societies are accustomed to shapes the people we become. Even the families we grow up in shape who we are. Do not get me wrong... the phrase has a lot of truth to it especially if its easy for you to fall victim of peer pressure for example becoming a thief or drug user if you hang around such characters.  But the basis of this writing is based off of human understanding. I feel that it’s important to understand people individually because each person has a story of what makes them who they are.  If you remain conscious to human understanding the phrase becomes

DUMB NATION

Are we dumb? Or brainwashed? How else do we keep making the same wrong choices? Choices that don't help us, Choices that don't improve our livelihoods, What happened to merit? What do they offer us during campaign that makes us sell our futures? Are we contributing to a sustainable development for future generations? What situation are you bringing your child in to? Are you sure this is what you want for them? We are failing ourselves as a country, do we even deserve to complain? It takes a-lot of will, sacrifice and integrity to rise as a state Greed has become a normal way of life Are you asking yourself how you are contributing? Before you cast a vote are you 100% sure it's on merit? Before you receive or give a bribe, you are saying yes to a dead future? Would you want your child to miss an opportunity because of something you helped breed? How can you want progressiveness and growth if you are contributing to the problem? Who told you that your tribe is more importan

COVID-19 PCR test in Bangkok

I got to Bangkok from the islands with just four days to spare before I had to fly out to my country. It was a requirement for the airline (EMIRATES) and my country to have the PCR COVID-19 test before arrival. After making so many calls to different hospitals to make inquiries on whether they offer PCR tests and how much it would cost, I finally found an affordable place. The price for most hospitals were either 3500bht or 6500bht but the (Urban Institute for disease prevention and control) charges 2700bht for the test. This is the cheapest option I found and results are given in 24 hours.   Please share this with your friends or anyone else who might need this information.
